Got a chance to finish a second project using the little fairy I created the other day. This project is also using the Tim Holtz Sizzix cabinet card dies, small easel die, distress paints, and other various goodies. One interesting thing I learned is that red wonder tape does not stick well to grunge board, so the easel was attached to the back of the cabinet card using E6000 glue. Next time I will try cardboard rather than grunge board for the easel. I think it will fold and attach much better.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Played a bit more with with my Character Constructions dies last evening, this time with the little fairy and the swan. Since the fairies I made needed glitter on their wings, and that needed time to dry, I made this card using the swan. The mushroom and trees are also images from Character Constructions. Looking forward to playing again tonight! Stay
Got some of the new Character Constructions dies and had to give them a test drive. The first one I used was for this sweet flower lady image. It worked terrifically and I love how easily and perfectly the image came out. Can't wait to play some more with all the other dies. Stay tuned...
Got a chance to play a bit over the weekend and managed to create a couple new cards. On this one, I wanted to try out the new mini clock die, as well as distress paints. Hoping to make this card (or a similar version of this card) into a class in the near future. Oh, and I am really liking the distress paints!
Got this new embossing diffuser I wanted to try, and here is the result. I like the effect, but it took me a few tries to get it right. I definitely will be playing a bit more with this fun tool.
Sending one out the door today. The semester is almost over, so not sure how many more will go out before the end of the month. I definitely need to make more since this is the last of the ones I made a while ago. Miss B will be home for the month of May, but will be heading to the Big Apple for the summer, so I'm sure I'll be sending postcards throughout the summer.
