HALLOWEEN!!! I had this idea in my head to create a witch using this stamp. Then, on Saturday the fridge was being cleaned out and I saw this Easter candy box that was heading for the trash can, and I thought, 'Hmmmmmm'. So, I made an upper torso version of my witch and this is how it turned out. She was not very cooperative with my photo efforts, but you can kinda get the idea. Her skirt is made of black crepe paper, and there are velvet leaves in back of her. She also has a black glass glitter hat, and there is some of that glitter on the front of the little opening. As I'm looking at this, I am thinking she may need a spider inside to keep her company (and I saw the perfect one at Michael's today).
The last photo will give you a little better perspective of this piece. The middle photo shows it hanging up on my
room divider. The lighting is just not good for taking photos, so this is the best I could do. I've also brought out a few other Halloween decorations around the house (some of them even made Beula growl, he he), but I'll save them for another day. Oh, and in case you are wondering, I did make a full size witch (2 actually), but I am still working on incorporating them into a larger collage. I also managed to get in a real creative groove and finished another small collage, and several pages in a round robin. YEAH!!
In other news, we saw 2 movies over the weekend. First was The Gameplan, staring The Rock. I totally loved the previews and was really looking forward to seeing this (the bulldog steals the show). It was so CUTE and I really enjoyed it. In addition to this, I also rented The Necklace, starring Hillary Swank. This movie is about the scandle that caused Marie Antoinette to loose her life. It was interesting and enjoyable.
So, now you are pretty much caught up!!! Hope you had a happy Monday. It is still raining LOTS in this area!!
You're so clever!! All you girls and your fun halloween art!! I really enjoy seeing it all. Thanks for sharing!

What a mischevious little witch decoration you have made. All I ever find when cleaning out my refrigerator is wilted lettuce and spoiled tomatoes!

Your witch came out great. Don't you just love the Rock. I think I need to go see that movie for him.

Oh! I had been on a different post. Now I can comment on your street team crusade. I love this; she is so sinister and devilish and wearing the colors I am most passionate about...purple and black...too bad easter bunny!
